I need a dollar

Forever wishing I had money, here are some of the gorgeous items I've been lusting after in the past few weeks. I'll be adding these items to my never ending Christmas list!

1.Black Chunky Heeled Boots-H&M, £24.99. For some strange reason I don't actually own any black heeled boots. These are simple but gorgeous and so cheap!

2. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick, Black Cherry- Superdrug, £7.49. At the moment I'm obsessed with dark lipsticks. I tried this out in Boots on my lunch break yesterday (keen, i know!) and now i neeeeed it!

3. Faux Fur Collar Coat- ASOS, £85. I've always wanted a fur coat but never felt I was cool enough to pull one off! This coat looks really wearable and snuggly and i love the faux leather sleeves

4.Leather Scallop Edge Satchel-ASOS, £60. This is so cute and I thought the mustard colour is quite unusual.

5. Black Riding Pant-American Apparel, £64. I've seen a few girls at college in these and they look amazing! The high waist will hide my tummy too yay!

6. Tartan Scarf-H&M, £7.99- Tartan is going to be huge this Autumn/Winter and a tartan scarf is a cute touch. I already have this in green and the tiny price tag means hopefully I can afford the red one too

7. Alien Chunky Fringe Boots-Topshop, £95. I've been wanting these boots for months. I keep saving and then having to spend my money on sensible things instead :( Hopefully I should have enough money by next payday to buy these beauties!! They are just gorgeous!

The Chunky Knit

(Left-Right) Burgundy Cable Knit- Next, £35. Purple Knit-H&M, £14.99. Green Knit-New Look, £12.99.

Cosy, warm, wooly jumpers- another of my favourite things about Autumn/Winter (closely followed by candles, Starbucks' Christmas drinks and scarves!)

At the moment I'm loving dark coloured, chunky knit jumpers. I like my jumpers oversized so they're baggy and snuggly! I always find it hard to incorporate colour into my outfits and wear too much black, but a colourful jumper is a great way to brighten up my wardrobe. i'm loving Burgundy, Forest Green, Navy and Purples.

I've currently gone a bit jumper crazy and seem to be buying more everywhere I go! Great for if you're stuck in a style rut, dig out your black skinnies, loads of gold jewelry, chunky boots and throw on your favourite jumper and you're ready to brave the freezing English weather!

The Autumn Lip

(From Left to Right), e.l.f. Matte Lip Colour- 'Tea Rose'
MAC Amplified Creme Lipstick- 'Up The Amp'
Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick-'Starry Eyed'
Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss- '01'
e.l.f. Lipstick- 'Posh'

Autumn is definitely my favourite season. I love the cosy jumpers, dark colours and most of all being able to get away with dramatic makeup!

I absolutely love a dark lip, but I found out earlier this year that's its not a look one should try to pull off during the Summer months! So obviously I was so relieved when Summer drew to a close and Autumn finally came along.

Seen on various catwalks such as Gucci, there are many shades to choose from such as Deep Purples, Reds, Berries and if you're feeling gothic you could even try Black! Slicking a deep berry hue onto your lips is a quick and easy way to bring a grungy edge to an outfit.

If you're not confident enough to try a dark colour, a pink with purple or blue undertones looks just as cool. Wear your dark lip with natural, glowing skin and a slick of black mascara for a gorgeous look that will see you through Autumn.

Karl Lagerfeld- The Little Black Jacket

109 portraits of celebrities and fashion personalities all wearing the same timeless Chanel Little Black jacket? Yes please Karl! Karl Lagerfeld's newest exhibition is the perfect mix of fashion and photography.

Styled by Carine Roitfeld, (who has worked as editor-in-chief for Vogue,Paris), the photos are edgy, interesting and no two photographs look the same.

The photographs show off the versatility of a classic piece of fashion; Alice Dellal, model, wears her jacket under a leather vest with netting and studs, Astrid Berges-Frisbey, actress, wears hers tied nonchalantly around her waist paired with a top hat, tartan and a lighting bolt over her eye that Gaga would be proud of. Georgia May Jagger wears hers with chains, a bra and not much else.

The exhibition is a gorgeous celebration of the garments longevity and proves classic pieces never go out of fashion.

The exhibition is currently on at The Saatchi Gallery is London, and it's only a three minute walk from Sloane Square Tube Station. The lovely people there were also giving out A1 size prints of the photos, who doesn't love a freebie!

I'd highly recommend you go and see it, however only if you can deal with the shocking realisation as you exit afterwards that you will have to save for at least a year to afford your own Chanel Little Black jacket.

Masks Project

For my current photography project at college my theme is Concealment and one of my sub-themes is Masks. For these photos I smeared red lipstick over my models faces and then wrapped their faces in clingfilm (leaving an air hole of course!) This was my first time ever shooting with a film camera as I am used to taking photos with my beloved Canon DSLR! I think I prefer shooting with black and white film, however  I think all the photos are good for my first time! I can't wait to scan them in and edit them now to make them super creepy!

In Search of the Perfect Coat

It's that time of the year again where you'll find me frantically ransacking every shop in search of the perfect coat. For me the right coat is one of the most tricky items to find and discovering one that works with every outfit is essential. As I plan to wear it everyday when the weather cools down it's a piece I'm happy to spend around £100 on which for me as a student is quite an investment!

This year I was  looking for a long, woolen navy or black coat with a few small details but not too much going on. I wanted a coat that is interesting and versatile and will also cover up my wobbly bits!

My favourite was this coat from NewLook, I love the exposed zips, the long length and the contrasting leather-look cuffs and collar. I felt it was very good value at £54.99, which was reduced to £49.45 with student discount. I can't wait for it to arrive!

Others I found include this Dark Green Coat from Tesco which is lovely but too expensive at £120! I also like this Navy Zip up coat from NewLook and this Black Coat with Asymmetric zip from Next.

(Left-Right)Blue Zip Coat, £44.99, NewLook. Green Anne Harvey Large Collar Coat, £120, F&F at Tesco. Black Asymmetric Coat, £70, Next.
